Last night about 1 a.m. R fell out of his bed. (A trundle bed about 4 feet off the floor.) He SCREAMED for about an hour. We finally got him back to sleep. The next morning we knew something was up because he was NOT acting normal and wouldn't move his left arm much. We debated about going to the doctor, but after some motrin he perked up a bit. We decided to wait and see how the day went. We traveled and met our new cousin and ran some errands before ending up at Grandma Great's home. Once there, the drugs had worn off and R was in obvious discomfort. So after Doctor Grandpa and Doctor Grandma gave their opinions, we headed to the insta care to get a 3rd opinion. There was a consensus, and my R has a broken collar bone. Poor kid. Totally a MOTHER OF THE YEAR moment for not taking my son to the doctor sooner. (Luckily there's not much they can do for broken collar bones. Makes me feel a little better.)
R asked the doctor to see a picture of his broken bone so we have a print out to scrapbook. He also left with a sling and a new question for everyone he passed. Is yours fixed?

Poor R! My sister Kara's little girl Maddie broke her arm when she was one. They are still not sure how she did it. But she woke up with a swollen wrist and wouldn't crawl on it. Kara figure she had just hurt it and waited a day to take her to the ER. She broke both bones in her arm. And since they didn't know how she did it the doctor was acting like they abuse her hahaha!
I hope he heals up quickly! I am dreading the day one of my kids breaks something.
He had a bump (old bruise now so it was quite green/brown) on his forehead and blood on his pants from when his nose bled earlier in the day. I totally felt like a CPS call waiting to happen.
